We honor the courage it takes to reach out for support. If you've found yourself here, it means you've taken the first step toward achieving the peace and healing you deserve.
The Women's Center is a small group with a big heart. We are committed to helping clients find freedom from overwhelming anxiety and depression, grief and loss, co-dependency, and the long-term effects of trauma and destructive patterns. Using an integrative approach, we explore what is happening in the present moment and how internalized past experiences may hinder current progress. Together, we develop effective strategies to resolve emotional conflict and achieve peace and contentment. We are here to hold space that honors each individual, drawing upon your strengths and tapping into the deep wells of insight and knowing that already lie within you.
We are passionate about providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment aimed at empowerment and emotional freedom. Our commitment to providing safe, dedicated spaces is unwavering. So, while we are called The Women's Center, we are fully inclusive of transgender and non-binary individuals. Our office is expressly LGBTQIA+ affirming and racial justice allied.
We are passionate about what we do. From the first point of contact and through every stage of your healing journey, we are committed to offering a place of support, respite, and encouragement as you work toward your therapeutic goals.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT
The Women's Center for Healing is committed to creating an environment for all clients, employees, and visitors that is safe and welcoming, respecting and affirming all identities and characteristics including race, ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, age, ancestry, physical ability, mental ability, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, marital status, parental status, health, and socioeconomic status. We honor the similarities and differences inherent in our relationship with you, and value this relationship as an important piece of providing counseling services.
It is part of our professional ethics and personal values to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and to be aware of the impact privilege, prejudice, marginalization, oppression, power and discrimination have in the lives of individuals. We strive to recognize how our own identities and privilege impact ourselves and those around us and support one another in exploring our individual privileges and biases in order to facilitate our personal and professional growth. It is part of our professional responsibility to encourage and provide continuing education opportunities regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion to all team members.
At The Women's Center, we view our commitment to equity and diversity as an ongoing learning journey, never assuming we have fully reached our destination. Only through valuing and continuing to learn about the diversity that exists within our community and beyond can we provide respectful and effective services to our clients.
