ALEX MARGOSIAN, LICSW, LPC | She/Her
Licensed Social Worker
Alex graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and Trauma Specialization Certificate from Boston University in 2012. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in processing the many ways that trauma has impacted their lives and specifically specializes in treating complex trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Substance Use Disorders (SUD), depression, and anxiety. Alex is licensed to provide services to clients located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida.
Alex’s approach is based on advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Alex also integrates narrative therapy practices and draws upon her lived experience, including as a woman of color. Her intention is to approach this work and the therapeutic relationships with her clients with clarity, flexibility, and some humor. Alex understands that seeking out therapy, or starting with a new therapist, can be very intimidating and may carry pain from past experiences of vulnerability or power differentials. Alex endeavors to bring her most genuine self to this work in order to create a tone where healing and growth can be held in a relationship that allows for the most difficult things to be said out loud.
SAM BURNS, LMHC, LPC | She/They

Sam's approach focuses on a person-centered treatment using a trauma-informed lens while pulling pieces primarily from DBT techniques, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and CBT. Along with a strong focus on depression and anxiety treatment, Sam specializes in supporting survivors of domestic violence, assisting clients in understanding healthy relationship patterns and self-esteem issues and encouraging individuals to gain confidence to be their own self-advocate.
