LINDA TOUSSAINT, LICSW | She/Her
Linda understands that the first step in reaching out for help and embarking on the journey of self-discovery, acceptance, healing, and transforming can be quite difficult for some, which is why establishing a caring therapeutic relationship where both parties feel connected is of the utmost importance. Linda is a Health at Every Size®-aligned, trauma-informed, clinical social work therapist working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, complex trauma-related symptoms, challenging relationships with food and body, and other common mental health concerns.
Linda uses a compassionate, client-centered, strengths-based approach, honoring that the client knows best for themselves and aiding them in learning and exploring exactly what that is. Linda uses an eclectic blend of techniques to create space for exploring the roots of pain and suffering, developing awareness, prioritization, compassion, care, and trust in oneself, and embarking on reclaiming personal strength and empowerment. She is also committed to learning about the many systems of oppression that negatively impact so many and bringing that awareness to this critical work.
ALEX MARGOSIAN, LICSW | She/Her
Alex graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and Trauma Specialization Certificate from Boston University in 2012. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in processing the many ways that trauma has impacted their lives and specifically specializes in treating complex trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Substance Use Disorders (SUD), depression, and anxiety.
Alex’s approach is based on advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Alex also integrates narrative therapy practices and draws upon her lived experience, including as a woman of color. Her intention is to approach this work and the therapeutic relationships with her clients with clarity, flexibility, and some humor. Alex understands that seeking out therapy, or starting with a new therapist, can be very intimidating and may carry pain from past experiences of vulnerability or power differentials. Alex endeavors to bring her most genuine self to this work in order to create a tone where healing and growth can be held in a relationship that allows for the most difficult things to be said out loud.
SAM BURNS, LMHC | She/They
Earning their master's degree in counseling psychology from Bay Path University, Sam spent several years working in community mental health, where she gained experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, substance abuse, mood disorders, and more. Bringing that knowledge and expertise to our team, Sam understands that therapy is not a one-approach-fits-all solution. Everyone has different needs and preferences, so Sam utilizes an eclectic approach to work with each individual to find the right fit for them.
Sam's approach focuses on a person-centered treatment using a trauma-informed lens while pulling pieces primarily from DBT techniques, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and CBT. Along with a strong focus on depression and anxiety treatment, Sam specializes in supporting survivors of domestic violence, assisting clients in understanding healthy relationship patterns and self-esteem issues and encouraging individuals to gain confidence to be their own self-advocate.
